War, Uhhh, Good God Y'all

What is it good for? Absolutely nothing.

Today, March 19, marks the 5 year anniversary of the biggest Military/Foreign Policy blunder since the Viet Nam Fiasco: King George's Holy Oedipal Crusade On Iraq.

This war has cost over a million human lives, and a trillion dollars from our Treasury. It has also cost extreme hardship and suffering of tens of millions of others. Will someone please explain to me again, why it is all worth it?

I have always been against war. It is a weakness of the flesh. Greed, and the lust for power, will, in the end, prove to be the demise of mankind. How many human lives is a barrel of oil worth? This is SICK!

It ain't nothin but a heartbreaker

Sadly, Tim, the war was worth it, for the politicans and profiteers.

It's purpose was to occupy oil rich lands and provide huge profits to Cheney's war profiteers at Haliburton and other military industrial complex interests. Then there's the likes of Blackwater. They wanted an unaccountable SS-like group of thugs to be used for population control, both here and in occupied lands.

And of course, Bush knew his best chance at getting re-elected was to be a "war president".

How evil can men be? We need not look far. It was all done for power and profit. It succeeded for them. Especially if they go unpunished.

Too bad for the rest of humanity it was a tragic failure and an enormous war crime.

Brother
I am more stupefied as I read peoples Blogs today and learn a lot of thing I missed. I couldn't believe McCain told Israel Jerusalem should be their capital. Yeah that will bring peace. I told you division and total breakdown is their goal. Divide and conquer. Never ending war. This is just starting.
While listening to horror stories from Iraq today Bush, Cheney, and McCain, were bragging how great it was going, depends on what your goal is!
I just heard that ass hole Cheney say "so" while he was grinning when he was told most American's are against it.
What stinks is many believe their crap and think where the enemy like one of my sons. who might be back in Iraq by now I don't know!

Being an 'old warrior' who knows battle all too well, my heart breaks daily when I see what this bunch of greedy pigs has done and continues to do to our nation. I literally felt rage against another human for the 1st time in many decades when I heard Dumbya refer to the war in Afghanistan as 'romantic', then quickly added Cheney to the list of 2 when he declared the American People's wishes unimportant.
